​​David E. Clifton / Executive Director 
David Cliftion is an exterior wall system specialist with a career spanning more than 35 years in various aspects of the building enclosure and construction industries.  He has an extensive background in building enclosure design, project research and development, materials testing and compliance certification, and construction practices.  The key advantage he offers is the integrated knowledge of various construction systems, such as structural framing, structural concrete, precast concrete, paving, wall framing, sheathing, fireproofing, thermal insulation, glazing, plaster, masonry, roofing, flashing systems, waterproofing, stone cladding, draining systems, mechanical systems, HVAC systems, and ventilation systems.  
He has a complete understanding of each system and expertise in how they interrelate,
both materially and through their methods of constructibility.

Building Enclosure Portfolio Selections (As Design Principal of Corte Cladding Consultants)
350 Mission, San Francisco, CA
Curtain wall system design and consulting for 30-story Platinum LEED rated office tower.  Contributed to all areas of unitized system design and coordination, including but not limited to scoping the project, scheduling, project documentation, project estimating, curtain wall system fabrication development, sequencing of work, mock up drawing, shop drawing and fab drawing development, and administration ​of mock up lab testing.


Transbay Block 6 Redevelopment, San Francisco, CA

Curtain wall system design and consulting for 480,000 sq.ft., 32-story apartment tower in San Francisco.  Participated in all areas of unitized system design and building facade coordination, including but not limited to scoping the project, scheduling, project documentation, sequencing of work and mock up drawing, shop drawing and fab drawing development.  Provided consulting services related to performance mock up testing.


Panorama Towers III, Las Vegas, NV
Construction consulting, design development and construction services for $240-million luxury high-rise condo project. Engaged under a construction consulting services agreement which was later transitioned to include system design development of the exterior curtain wall / window wall systems.  The developer and general contractor subcontracted the manufacturing and procurement of the building exterior to an import/export company who sourced the components internationally.  Worked as the liaison with the architect and construction team to develop the exterior wall system design and working details.  Ultimately worked directly with the manufacturing company to direct the fabrication information, manufacturing process, unit assembly and to consult with the exterior wall subcontractor regarding proper installation methods and problem solving with field coordination issues.

Darin Clifton is a licensed architect with 20 years of experience in the architecture, construction and technology industries.  
​He brings exceptional leadership, problem-solving and technical capabilities to project teams.  
Mr. Clifton has an extensive knowledge base and proven skill set in building design, materials and constructibility,
permitting and building codes, planning and project management, work scope development, scheduling and estimating,
quality control, construction administration and vendor and materials management.

Building Enclosure and Construction Industry Experience

Pyramid of Tabasco, Villahermosa, Mexico
Design development, product certification, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, supervision of fabrication and CM for curtain wall for eight-story corporate headquarters for PEMEX (Mexican Petroleums).  Included curtain wall system development of hybrid I-Beam framing system to incorporate architectural design for building.

2025 Craigshire, St. Louis, MO
General contractor for restoration of 19,000 sq.ft. commercial office building damaged by severe hail storm.  Project required close to $400,000 in repairs, including new roof.   Responsible for scope development, contract administration, bidding activities, coordination of specialty contractor and other skilled labor, arranging for permits and associated inspections,
site inspection and project closeout.

Associated General Contractors Office + Training Center, St. Louis, MO
General contracting services for restoration of headquarters and construction training center for AGC-St. Louis.  Project required $400,000+ in repairs, including new roof.   Responsible for scope development, contract administration, bidding activities, coordination of specialty contractor and other skilled labor, arranging for permits
